Ingredients:
2 tbspOlive oil
2 medOnions, chopped
4 Garlic cloves, minced
1 canWhole peeled tomatoes
-cut up (28 oz)
1 canTomato paste (6 oz)
1 canRO*TEL Diced Tomatoes and
-Green Chilies
2 tbspDried basil
2 tbspDried oregano
1 tbspSugar
1/2 cupWhite wine (opt)
Procedures:
1In a 3-quart saucepan, over medium-low heat, cook onion and garlic in hot oil until onion is tender, stirring occasionally.
2Stir in remaining ingredients except wine; heat to a boil, stirring occasionally.
3Reduce heat; cover and simmer 15 minutes.
4Stir in wine and simmer 5 minutes.
5Makes about 1 ?quarts sauce.
