Rum eggnog sauce

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cupStore-bought Eggnog
1 tbspCornstarch
1/2 cupWhipping cream
2 tbspRum or brandy
Procedures:
1In a 4 cup glass measure, blend the eggnog and cornstarch until smooth.
2Microwave uncovered at high for 4 - 5 minutes, until mixture comes to a boil and thickens, stirring twice.
3Cover and let cool slightly; refrigerate until cold.
4In a bowl, beat whipping cream until soft peaks form; beat in rum or brandy.
5Fold into eggnog mixture until smooth.
6Refrigerate sauce until ready to serve.
7Makes about 2 cups
