Ingredients:
| 2/3
| cup | Butter or margarine | | 1 1/3
| cup | Sugar | | 1
| tsp | Baking soda | | 1/2
| tsp | Salt | | 1/2
| cup | Asparagus puree( cooked ) | | 3
| | Squares melted chcolate | | 1 1/2
| tsp | Vanilla | | 1 3/4
| cup | Flour | | 3
| | Eggs | | 1/2
| cup | Buttermilk |

Procedures:
| 1 | Cream butter and sugar. | | 2 | Blend in asparagus, chocolate, vanilla. | | 3 | Combine flour with baking soda. | | 4 | Add alterantely with buttermilk to creamed mixture. | | 5 | Turn into 2, 8 inch cake pans and bake 350°F for 35 minutes or tested done. | | 6 | Cool in pans for 10 minutes and remove to racks to cool. | | 7 | Fill and frost with a chocolate frosting. |
