Ingredients:

| cup | Margarin, butter or | | | -shortening | | 1 1/2
| cup | Granulated sugar | | 3
| | Eggs | | 3/4
| cup | Milk | | 1
| tbsp | Almond extract | | 2 1/4
| cup | Cake flour | | 2 1/2
| tbsp | Baking powder | | 3/4
| tbsp | Salt |

Procedures:
| 1 | Grease and flour a 10" round pan. | | 2 | Preheat oven to 375°F. | | 3 | Place all ingredients in bowl of electric mixer. | | 4 | Mix on low speed until thoroughly combined, scraping bowl frequently. | | 5 | Increase speed to medium and beat for four minutes. | | 6 | Pour into pan; smooth top of batter. | | 7 | Bake 25-30 minutes, until cake tests done. | | 8 | Do not overbake. | | 9 | Cool on wire rack for 10 minutes, then remove cake from pan and continue cooling on rack. |
