Fava bean burgers

Ingredients:
1 cupMulti grain oats
1/8 cupBran
1/4 cupWheat germ
1/3 cupDry potato flakes
3/4 cupV-8 juice
1 Egg
1 canFava beans - 19 oz. drained
1 cupCarrots, shredded
1/2 cupOnion, finely chopped
1/4 cupGreen pepper, finely chopped
SPICES (REGULAR OPTION
1/8 tspGarlic powder
1/8 tspWhite pepper
1/4 tspOregano
1/4 tspBasil
1/4 tspRosemary
1/4 tspGround sage
4 dashTabasco
Procedures:
1Place oats, potato buds, bran, wheat germ in bowl and mix with the v Let stand for 15 minutes.
2Stir in egg and spices.
3Drain fava beans, place in small bowl and mash with a fork.
4Mix vegetables, oat mixture and beans in medium bowl until well blended.
5Press firmly into ?lb hamburger press.
6Lightly oil non stick fry pan and fry over med heat (325 if using electric fry pan) for approximately 8 minutes per side or until browned and crisp.
7Place on cake rack over cookie sheet and bake for 20-30 minutes so inside of burger gets set.
8Or make thinner burgers.
9Cool, wrap individually, freeze.
10Spices can be changed to cajun, indian, italian, mexican
