Ingredients:

| cup | Flour | | 1/2
| cup | Sugar | | 1
| cup | Butter, softened | | 1/2
| tsp | Salt | | | FILLING: | | 4
| | Eggs | | 1 1/2
| cup | Light or dark corn syrup | | 1 1/2
| cup | Sugar | | 3
| tbsp | Butter, melted | | 1 1/2
| tsp | Vanilla extract | | 2 1/2
| cup | Chopped pecans |

Procedures:
| 1 | Crust: in a large mixing bowl, blend together flour, sugar, butter and salt until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. | | 2 | Press firmly and evenly into a greased 15x10x1" baking pan. | | 3 | Bake at 350 °F for 20 minutes. | | 4 | Meanwhile, in another bowl, combine eggs, syrup, sugar, butter and vanilla. | | 5 | Stir in pecans. | | 6 | Spread evenly over hot crust. | | 7 | Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes or until set. | | 8 | Cool on a wire rack. | | 9 | Yields: 4 dozen |
