Ingredients:
8 Red apples
3 cupSugar
1/8 tspCream of tartar
1 1/4 cupWater
Red food coloring
Procedures:
1Wash and dry apples.
2Insert wooden sticks.
3Combine sugar, cream of tartar, and water in heavy, deep saucepan.
4Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture begins to boil.
5Add food coloring to desired shade.
6Boil until syrup reaches 300 degress (brittle stage).
7Dip apples in syrup and twirl unti they are covered evenly.
8Place on buttered sheet to cool
