Easy frosted brownies

Ingredients:
1/2 cupSugar
1/3 cupButter or margarine
2 tbspWater
1 (6-ounce) package semisweet
Chocolate morsels
1 tspVanilla extract
2 Eggs
3/4 cupAll-purpose flour
1/4 tspBaking soda
1/4 tspSalt
1 cupChopped pecans or walnuts
1 (6-ounce) package semisweet

1/2 cupChopped pecans or walnuts

Procedures:
1Combine sugar, butter, and water in a medium saucepan; cook over high heat, stirring frequently, until mixture comes to a boil.
2Remove from heat.
3Add 1 package chocolate morsels and vanilla, stirring until chocolate melts.
4Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
5Combine flour, soda, and salt; stir dry ingredients and 1 cup pec into chocolate mixture.pour batter into a greased and floured 9-inch square pan.
6Bake at 325 °F for 30 minutes.
7Cool on wire rack.
8Cut into squares and serve plain, or sprinkle 1 package chocolate morsels over hot brownies, if desired.
9Let stand until morsels are softened; then spread evenly over brownies with a spatula.
10Sprinkle ?cup pecans on top, if desired.
11Let cool, and cut into squares.
