Ingredients:
YIELD: 4 SERVINGS
4 medAmpalaya (bitter mellon)
1/4 lbsPork
1/4 lbsShrimp
1 kgTomato
1 smallOnion
3 eachGarlic cloves
4 ea Tb Patis
5 ea Tb Oil
3/4 cupWater
2 ea Eggs
1/2 tspMSG
Procedures:
1Wash and cut ampalaya in 2 inches, lengthwise.
2Remove the seeds and slice crosswise thinly.
3Scald and shell shrimp.
4Slice pork into small pieces.
5Peel and slice onions; peel and crush garlic.
6Slice tomato.
7In small amount of oil, saute garlic, onions, tomatoes, pork and shrimps, stirring constantly.
8When pork is half done, add water, patis, and msg.
9Bring to a boil.
10When pork is done, add the ampalaya.
11Let it boil twice until ampalaya is cooked.
12Add beaten eggs and stir once or twice before removing from stove.
13Serve hot with rice.
