Shrimp scampi pasta

Ingredients:
12 ozThin spaghetti or angel hair
3 tbspOlive oil
3 tbspButter
4 eachCloves garlic, minced
3 tbspMinced shallots
1/2 cupWhite wine
1/2 cupBottled clam juice
1/2 tspCoarsely gr. black pepper
1 lbsMedium shrimp, peeled and de
1/2 cupFreshly minced parsley
1 xSalt
Procedures:
1Bring a large pot of water to a boil for cooking the pasts.
2Add salt and pasta and cook for 6 to 8 minutes or until al dente.
3Drain and return to the pot to keep warm.
4While the pasta is cooking, heat the oil and butter in a large skillet.
5Add garlic and shallots and saute" for 2 minutes over low heat, stirring often.
6Raise heat to medium, add wine, clam juice and pepper and simmer for 2 minutes.
7Add shrimp, spreading them evenly over the skillet, and simmer over med-low heat for about 3 min, until cooked through.
8Stir in parsley.
9Taste and add salt if needed.
10Pour sauce over pasta in the pot.
11Toss gently, but thoroughly, then spoon out onto serving plates.
12I serve this with pieces of cuban or french bread to dunk in the sauce.
