Ingredients:

| quart | Popcorn, no salt, no butter | | 1
| cup | Butter | | 2
| cup | Brown sugar | | 1/3
| cup | Light corn syrup | | 1/2
| tsp | Salt | | 1/2
| tsp | Baking soda | | 1
| tsp | Vanilla | | | VARIATION | | | Nuts (try peanuts) |

Procedures:
| 1 | Preheat ovne 250°F. | | 2 | Pur popcorn in a 17x12x2" roasting pan or lg foil pan; set aside. | | 3 | Melt butter in med saucepan over med heat. | | 4 | Add sugar, corn syrup and salt. | | 5 | Stir until mixture starts to boil. | | 6 | The syrup should boil over its entire surface. | | 7 | Boil 5 mins without stirring. | | 8 | Remove from heat. | | 9 | Stir in soda and vanilla then pour the caramel mixture over the popcorn, stirring to coat. | | 10 | Bake, uncovered, 1 hr, stirring every 15 mins. | | 11 | Add nuts just before cooling. |
