Caramel corn

Ingredients:

6 quartPopcorn, no salt, no butter
1 cupButter
2 cupBrown sugar
1/3 cupLight corn syrup
1/2 tspSalt
1/2 tspBaking soda
1 tspVanilla
VARIATION
Nuts (try peanuts)
Procedures:
1Preheat ovne 250°F.
2Pur popcorn in a 17x12x2" roasting pan or lg foil pan; set aside.
3Melt butter in med saucepan over med heat.
4Add sugar, corn syrup and salt.
5Stir until mixture starts to boil.
6The syrup should boil over its entire surface.
7Boil 5 mins without stirring.
8Remove from heat.
9Stir in soda and vanilla then pour the caramel mixture over the popcorn, stirring to coat.
10Bake, uncovered, 1 hr, stirring every 15 mins.
11Add nuts just before cooling.
