Cashew brittle

Ingredients:
3 cupSugar
1 cupLight corn syrup
1/2 cupWater
2 cupCashew halves
1 1/2 tbspButter
1 1/2 tspVanilla
Procedures:
1Place sugar, water and corn syrup in a sauce pan.
2Stir over medium high heat to dissolve sugar.
3Continue cooking, without stirring, until mixture reaches 280 degrees on a candy thermometer.
4Add cashews.
5Continue cooking until mixture reaches 300 deg f (hard crack stage).
6Remove from heat and add vanilla and butter.
7Stir to mix well.
8Pour onto greased baking pan.
9When cool, break into pieces.
10Makes about 2 lbs.
