| 1 | Place sugar, water and corn syrup in a sauce pan. |
| 2 | Stir over medium high heat to dissolve sugar. |
| 3 | Continue cooking, without stirring, until mixture reaches 280 degrees on a candy thermometer. |
| 4 | Add cashews. |
| 5 | Continue cooking until mixture reaches 300 deg f (hard crack stage). |
| 6 | Remove from heat and add vanilla and butter. |
| 7 | Stir to mix well. |
| 8 | Pour onto greased baking pan. |
| 9 | When cool, break into pieces. |
| 10 | Makes about 2 lbs. |
