Ingredients:

| cup | Walnut pieces, divided | | 1 1/4
| cup | All-purpose flour | | 1/2
| cup | Firmly packed brown sugar | | 1/2
| cup | Butter flavor Crisco | | 1/2
| cup | Flake coconut | | | FILLING | | 2
| pack | 8 oz cream cheese, softened | | 2/3
| cup | Granulated sugar | | 2
| | Eggs | | 2
| tsp | Vanilla | | 1
| can | (21 oz.) cherry pie filling |

Procedures:
| 1 | Heat oven to 350 degrees. | | 2 | Grease a 13x9x2-inch pan with butter flavor crisco. | | 3 | Set aside. | | 4 | Chop ?cup nuts coursely for topping. | | 5 | Set aside. | | 6 | Chop remaining ?cup nuts, finely. | | 7 | For crust, combine flour and brown sugar. | | 8 | Cut in butter flavor crisco until fine crumbs form. | | 9 | Add ?cup finely chopped nuts and coconut. | | 10 | Mix well. | | 11 | Remove ?cup. | | 12 | Set aside. | | 13 | Press remaining crumbs in bottom of pan. | | 14 | Bake at 350°F for 12 to 15 minutes, until edges are lighty browned. | | 15 | For filling, beat cream cheese, granulated sugar, eggs and vanilla in small bowl at medium speed of electric mixer until smooth. | | 16 | Spread over hot baked crust. | | 17 | Return to oven. | | 18 | Bake 15 minutes longer. | | 19 | Spread cherry pie filling over cheese layer. | | 20 | Combine reserved coursely chopped nuts and reserved crumbs. | | 21 | Sprinkle evenly over cherries. | | 22 | Return to oven. | | 23 | Bake 15 minutes longer. | | 24 | Cool. | | 25 | Refergerate sever hours. | | 26 | Cut into bars, about 2 x 1 ?inchs. |
