Ingredients:

| tsp | Oil | | 1/2
| cup | Onion, finely chopped | | 4
| cup | Red cabbage, coarse shredded | | 1
| cup | Peeled apple, chopped | | 2
| | Whole cloves | | 1/2
| | Bay leaf | | 1
| tbsp | Sugar | | | (sugar substitute, please) | | 1 1/2
| tbsp | White vinegar |

Procedures:
| 1 | In a heavy skillet, heat oil over medium high heat. | | 2 | Add onion and saute until tender. | | 3 | Add cabbage, apple, cloves and bay leaf. | | 4 | Cover and simmer about 20 min or until cabbage is tender. | | 5 | If cabbage gets dry, add a small amount of water. | | 6 | Add sugar and vinegar to cabbage mixture; toss gently. | | 7 | Cover and cook about 5 min longer. | | 8 | Cal 45; fat 1g. | | 9 | Food exchange per serving: 1 vegetable exchange + ?fruit exchanges + 1 fat exchanges. | | 10 | Nancy o"brion"s notes: | | 11 | i have no idea what this is like, but this is on my "to try" list. | | 12 | This one i will make it for us..... |
