Ingredients:
1 tspOil
1/2 cupOnion, finely chopped
4 cupRed cabbage, coarse shredded
1 cupPeeled apple, chopped
2 Whole cloves
1/2 Bay leaf
1 tbspSugar
(sugar substitute, please)
1 1/2 tbspWhite vinegar
Procedures:
1In a heavy skillet, heat oil over medium high heat.
2Add onion and saute until tender.
3Add cabbage, apple, cloves and bay leaf.
4Cover and simmer about 20 min or until cabbage is tender.
5If cabbage gets dry, add a small amount of water.
6Add sugar and vinegar to cabbage mixture; toss gently.
7Cover and cook about 5 min longer.
8Cal 45; fat 1g.
9Food exchange per serving: 1 vegetable exchange + ?fruit exchanges + 1 fat exchanges.
