Winter squash with madeira

Ingredients:
1 1/4 lbsAcorn or butternut squash
2 tbspButter
2 tbspCorn oil
1 cupHeavy cream
1/4 cupMadeira wine
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cupChopped walnuts
2 tbspMelted butter
1/2 cupDry bread crumbs
Procedures:
1Prep time: 10 mins cook time: 50 mins difficulty: *
2peel, quarter and seed squash.
3Cut into ?inch slices.
4Saute in butter and oil until lightly browned (2 - 3 minutes).
5Butter a 1 quart baking dish.
6Place half of squash in dish.
7Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
8Pour on half of a mixture of the cream and madeira.
9Top with remaining squash and season.
10Pour on remaining cream and madeira mixture.
11Combine bread crumbs and nuts with melted butter and sprinkle on top.
12Bake at 325°F for 45 minutes or until squash is done.
