Ingredients:
1 cupTVP granules
1 cupBoiling water
1/2 cupBreadcrumbs
1/4 cupWholewheat flour
1/2 tspSalt
1/4 tspCayenne
1 tspSage
1/2 tspFennel
1 tspOregano
1/2 tspGarlic powder
1/2 tspThyme
1 tspOlive oil
4 ea Submarine rolls (individual)
1 cupSpaghetti sauce, warmed
2 medGreen bell peppers, roasted
-- & sliced into strips
Procedures:
1Combine tvp & boiling water & let stand until the water is absorbed, about 5 minutes.
2Add breadcrumbs, flour, salt, cayenne, sage, fennel, oregano, garlic & thyme.
3Mix well.
4form tvp mixture into 12 balls.
5Rub olive oil on palms & roll each ball in your hands to coat them.
6Place on lightly oiled cookie sheet & broil until browned, 10 minutes.
7Place three balls in each roll & top with sauce & peppers.
