Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbsPork sausage
1 cupCelery, chopped finely
1 largeOnion, chopped
4 McIntosh apples, peeled chop
2 tspDried sage
1 tbspDried parsley
1 tspDried oregano
1 tspDried thyme leaves
1 1/2 tspSalt , or to taste
2/3 cupWalnuts, coarsely chopped
1/2 tspPepper
24 ozUnseasoned toasted bread
1 xCubes
1/4 cupButter, melted
2 cupBoiling water
Procedures:
1Place sausage in medium skillet over medium heat and cook, breaking up pieces with fork until no longer pink, drain fat.
2Place sausage, celery, onions, apples, walnuts, sage, parsley, oregano, thyme, salt, pepper and bread cubes in large bowl,toss.
3Combine butter and boiling water and pour over mixture.
4Toss gently.
5Spoon stuffing into cavities just before roasting.
6Stuff loosely to allow for expansion.
7Bake any leftover stuffing at 375°F for 35 to 40 minutes.
8Always remove all stuffing after turkey is roasted.
