Ingredients:

| oz | Butter | | 1
| oz | Flour | | 1
| tbsp | Chopped onion | | 1
| tbsp | Chopped green pepper | | 1
| pint | Brown stock or consomme | | 4
| | Medium tomatoes | | 2
| tbsp | Macroni rings | | | Salt | | | Pepper | | | Cayenne Pepper | | 1/2
| tsp | Vinegar | | 1
| tbsp | Grated horseradish or 2 Tbsp | | | -horseradish sauce |

Procedures:
| 1 | Cook the chopped onion and pepper in the butter for 5 minutes. | | 2 | Add the flour and blend. | | 3 | Add the stock and tomatoes and simmer for 15 minutes. | | 4 | Pass through a sieve. | | 5 | Season highly with salt, pepper and cayenne pepper. | | 6 | Cook the macroni seperately. | | 7 | Just before serving add the horseradish, vinegar and cooked macroni. | | 8 | If horseradish sauce is used instead of fresh horseradish, less vinegar will be necessary |
