Ingredients:
1 medRed onion, chopped
4 medCarrots, sliced
1 Stalk celery, sliced
1/2 cupCorn
1/4 cupBarley
5 Garlic cloves, minced
2 tbspMinced fresh parsley
5 cupWater
3 medTomatoes
1/2 tspMarjoram
1 cupPeas
1 cupSpinach leaves, chopped
1/2 cupTomato paste
1 tbspSoy sauce
Procedures:
1Place onions, carrots, celery, corn, barley, garlic, parsley and 3 cups water in large saucepan.
2Place remaining 2 cups water, the tomato and marjorum in a blender and process untill smooth.
3Add to saucepan.
4Bring to boil, turn down heat and simmer, covered, for 1 ?hours.
5Add peas, packed spinach leaves, tomato paste and soy sauce.
6Cover and simmer for 10 minutes more.
7Makes 8 servings.
