| 1 | Recipe by: winebert Crush mint leaves in a mortar and pestle or place them between a tablespoon and a teaspoon and macerate. |
| 2 | Place crushed leaves in a sterilized glass jar and pour vodka over them. |
| 3 | Cover and let sit for 10 days. |
| 4 | Stain vodka through cheesecloth or a coffee filter and discard mint. |
| 5 | Make a syrup of the sugar and water by bringing the mixture to a boil, boiling for 30 minutes, and then letting it cool. |
| 6 | Add syrup to the mint-flavored vodka, add peppermint and coloring and stir. |
| 7 | If liqueur is not clear, you may want to filter it a second time. |
| 8 | You may also want to omit the green food coloring. |
| 9 | Liqueur will keep for a year on the pantry shelf |
