Ingredients:

| cup | Butter | | 3/4
| cup | Granulated sugar | | 3
| tbsp | Packed brown sugar | | 2
| tbsp | Dried thyme, crushed | | 1/2
| tsp | Salt | | 1/8
| tsp | Pepper |

Procedures:
| 1 | Peel and cut onions into ?to 1" slices. | | 2 | Microwave slices at high (100%) 5 minutes. | | 3 | Heat butter in large skillet; add onion slices. | | 4 | Combine sugars, thyme, salt and pepper. | | 5 | Sprinkle 1 tablespoon sugar mixture over each slice; cook over medium-low heat about 10 minutes on first side. | | 6 | Turn slices, sprinkle each slice with 1 tablespoon sugar mixture and cook 10 more minutes. | | 7 | Turn slices and cook 1 minute to caramelize sugar topping. | | 8 | Keep warm and repeat procedure for remaining onion slices |
