Ingredients:
3 medOnions
2 medGreen peppers
2 largeStalks celery
2 smallCloves garlic
1/2 smallFresh jalapeno pepper
8 lbsLean chuck, ground
7 ozCan diced green chilies
2 largeCans (14.5 oz) stewed
-tomatoes
1 large-l5 oz can tomato sauce
6 oz-can tomato paste
6 ozBottled chili powder
2 tbspCumin powder
Tabasco sauce to taste
12 ozCan beer
12 ozBottle mineral water
2 To 3 bay leaves
Garlic salt to taste
-Salt to taste
Procedures:
1Dice and saute first 5 ingredients.
2Add meat and brown.
3Add remaining ingredients, including half a can of beer.
4Add water just to cover top.
5Cook about 3 hours on low heat.
6Stir often.
7Remove bay leaves.
