Piquant popcorn

Ingredients:
2 tbspCorn oil
2 Garlic cloves, crushed
1 ? piece ginger root
-peeled, chopped
1 cupPopping corn
1/4 cupButter
2 tspHot chili sauce
2 tbspChopped fresh parsley
Salt to taste
Procedures:
1Heat oil in a saucepan.
2Add 1 clove of crushed garlic, ginger and popping corn.
3Stir well.
4Cover and cook over medium-high heat 3-5 minutes, holding lid firmly and shaking pan frequently until popping stops.
5Turn popped corn onto a dish, discarding any unpopped corn kernels.
6Melt butter in pan.
7Stir in remaining clove of crushed garlic and chili sauce.
8Return corn to pan and toss well until evenly coated with mixture.
9Add parsley and salt and stir well.
10Turn into a serving dish.
11Serve warm or cold.
12Variation: omit chili sauce and add 1 teaspoon dry mustard, 1 teaspoon paprika, ?teaspoon ground coriander and 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives to melted butter.
