Ingredients:

| large | Sweet onions, sliced ? | | | And | | | Separated into rings | | 1 1/2
| tsp | Baking powder | | 1
| cup | Flour | | 1/2
| tsp | Salt | | 1
| | Egg | | 2/3
| cup | Water | | 1/2
| tbsp | Lemon juice | | 1
| tbsp | Melted butter | | | Oil for frying |

Procedures:
| 1 | Soak the onion rings in ice water for at least ?hour. | | 2 | Pat the onion rings dry with paper towels. | | 3 | Sift together the baking powder, flour and salt. | | 4 | Combine the egg, water, and lemon juice and beat until frothy. | | 5 | Stir this into the dry ingredients just until blended. | | 6 | Add butter. | | 7 | Dip onion rings into batter, a few at a time. | | 8 | Drop into 375 °F. | | 9 | Oil. | | 10 | Fry 2 minutes on each side, turning once. | | 11 | Drain on absorbent paper. | | 12 | Keep hot in slow oven (325 °F). | | 13 | Until all are cooked. | | 14 | Don"t crowd them in the fryer. | | 15 | recipe by : |
