Festive green beans with almonds

Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbsGreen beans, stemmed
1/2 cupOnion, sliced & quartered
1 tbspOlive oil
1/4 cupWater chestnuts, slivered
1/4 cupAlmonds, slivered & toasted
Procedures:
1Cut green beans into 3" long pieces.
2Steam until tender, about 10 minutes.
3Remove from heat & set aside.
4heat oil in a large pot & saute the onions until soft, 5 minutes.
5Stir ni the reserved beans along with the water chestnuts.
6Transfer immediately to a serving dish, sprinkle with almonds & serve.
