Ingredients:
| 2
| cup | Fresh or frozen fava beans | | 1
| cup | Fresh or frozen peas | | 1
| tbsp | Olive oil | | 2
| each | Garlic cloves, minced | | 1
| tbsp | Fresh anise, chopped | | | Salt & pepper, to taste | | | Water |

Procedures:
| 1 | In a heavy pot, heat the olive oil and add the salt & garlic & saute for a few minutes. | | 2 | The temperature should be about medium high. | | 3 | Add the anise & stir to mix. | | 4 | Add the fava beans and mix well. | | 5 | Add salt, pepper & water; cover the pot with a tight fitting lid. | | 6 | Turn down the heat & let steam cook until tender. | | 7 | Add the peas; stir to mix well. | | 8 | Cover again & steam until the peas are done, about ten minutes. | | 9 | Adjust salt & pepper & serve. |
