French style peas

Ingredients:
Lettuce leaves
2 cupGreen peas, fresh -or-
10 ozPeas, frozen
1/2 tspSalt
Ds Pepper
Ds Nutmeg
Ds Sugar
1/4 cupButter
Procedures:
1Line bottom and sides of heavy sauce pan with washed lettuce leaves.
2Add peas.
3Sprinkle with salt, pepper, nutmeg, and sugar.
4Add butter.
5Cover with more lettuce leaves.
6Cook covered over low heat for 20 minutes or until tender.
7Discard leaves.
