Ingredients:

| small | Acorn squash | | 1
| cup | Water, boiling | | 1
| med | Apple, chopped | | 1/4
| cup | Orange juice | | 1
| tbsp | Brown sugar | | 1
| tsp | Margarine, non-dairy, melted | | 1/4
| tsp | Nutmeg, ground | | 1/2
| tsp | Cinnamon, ground |

Procedures:
| 1 | Cut squash in half and remove seeds. | | 2 | Place squash, cut side down, in shallow baking dish. | | 3 | Add boiling water. | | 4 | Cover and bake at 350 °F for 35 to 45 minutes or until tender. | | 5 | Turn cut side up; set aside. | | 6 | Combine remaining ingredients and spoon into squash halves. | | 7 | Cover and bake an additional 15 minutes. | | 8 | makes 4 servings. | | 9 | favorite vegetarian recipes/star/mm by dianne smith/deeanne |
