Green beans in spicy miso sauce

Ingredients:
1/2 tbspEDEN Hot Pepperer Sesame Oil
1 Clove garlic
-- minced or pressed
1/2 Onion, thinly sliced
1 cupGreen beans
-- (clean and trim ends)
1 1/2 tbspEDEN White (Shiro) Miso
-dissolved in
1/2 cupWater or stock
1 tspEDEN OrganiC Barley Malt
-OR- maple syrup
1 1/2 tspEDEN Mirin
2 tspEDEN Kudzu or arrowroot
Procedures:
1In a large skillet, heat hot pepper oil and saute garlic for 30 seconds.
2Add onion and saute until translucent.
3Add green beans and saute for 3-5 minutes.
4Mix dissolved miso, barley malt, mirin and kudzu or arrowroot together.
5Add to hot vegetable mixture and simmer, stirring constantly for about one minute or until thick.
6Serve as a side dish or as a topping for noodles.
7Prep time: 10 minutes cooking time: 5-10 minutes yield: 2 servings
