Ingredients:
2 lbsHashed brown potatoes
-frozen
1/2 cupChopped onions, or more
10 ozGrated cheddar cheese
16 ozSour cream
10 ozCream of chicken soup
-condensed
1 tspSalt
Pepper, to taste
8 ozMargarine, divided
Breadcrumbs for topping
Procedures:
1Make ahead casserole from caterer pat mackinnon of pat"s palatables in summerville, sc.
2mix thoroughly the hash browns, onions, cheese, sour cream, soup, salt, pepper and 4 ounces of the margarine, melted.
3Place in a greased 3-quart casserole dish.
4Cover top with breadcrumbs and pour remaining 4 ounces margarine over the top.
5Bake at 350 °F for about 1 hour and 10 minutes.
