Honeyed onions with currants rtha stewart

Ingredients:
2 largeSpanish onions
1 tbspUnsalted butter
3 tbspHoney
1 tbspBalsamic vinegar
Freshly ground pepper
2 tbspDried currants
Procedures:
1Peel and cut onions in half lengthwise and slice into ?inch-thick semicircles.
2Place in a large skillet with butter, 1 ?c water, honey vinegar, and pepper to taste.
3Bring to a boil; cook over medium-low heat until most of the liquid has evaporated and onions are very soft, about 40 minutes.
4Continue to cook until onions are a deep golden brown, about 15 minutes more.
5Add water as needed to keep onions from scorching.
6Stir in currants and serve.
