Old fashioned scalloped potatoes

Ingredients:
3 tbspButter or margarine
2 tbspFlour
1 tspSalt
1/8 tspPepper
1/8 tspPaprika
1 3/4 cupMilk
1 tspSalt
1 1/2 cupOnions, thinly sliced
4 1/2 cupPotatoes, thinly sliced
1/2 cupWater
2 tbspParsley, minced
Procedures:
1Melt butter or margarine in saucepan.
2Blend in flour, 1 tsp salt, pepper and paprika.
3Gradually add milk and cook on a medium heat until thickened.
4Combine 1 tsp salt, onions, potaotes and water in saucepan.
5Turn to a high heat until steaming, then to a lower heat and cook for 10 minutes.
6Drain.
7Arrange 1/3 of potato-onion mixture in greased 1-?quart casserole.
8Sprinkle with 1/3 of parsley and pour 1/3 of sauce over potatoes and onions.
9Repeat two more times.
10Bake, uncovered, at 325 °F.
11For 45 to 60 minutes or until tender and brown.
12Makes 6 servings.
