Ingredients:
18 Oysters, fresh, -OR-
1 pint-Frozen oysters
1 quartWarm milk, 1 Imperial qt =
-5 cups
3 tbspButter
-Salt & pepper
Procedures:
1A favorite recipe of former canadian prime minister louis st.
2Laurent.
3with fresh oysters, cover with water, boil and save the juices.
4(with frozen or canned oysters, save the liquor).
5Mix milk, butter, salt and pepper in a saucepan.
6Bring to a boil.
7Add oysters, and simmer for 20 minutes.
8Taste frequently.
9Add juice or liquor at the last minute; bring to a boil and serve.
