Ingredients:
2 lbsBulk breakfast sausage
1 medOnion, coarsely chopped
2 lbsCabbage, cored and cut into
-1-inch pieces
16 ozCan whole peeled tomatoes
-undrained
1 tbspSugar
1/2 tspDried oregano leaves
1 1/2 tspSalt
1/4 tspPepper
2 tbspFlour
1/4 cupCold water
Procedures:
1Crumble sausage into a deep, 3-quart, heat-resistant, non- metallic casserole and add onion.
2Heat, uncovered, in microwave oven 7 minutes or until sausage is cooked and onion is tender.
3Stir freequently.
4Drain off excess fat.
5Add cabbage, tomatoes, sugar, oregano, salt and pepper.
6Stir to combine.
7Heat, covered, in microwave oven 8 to 10 minutes or until cabbage is tender.
8In a small cup mix flour and water until smooth.
9Gradually stir flour mixture into sausage mixture.
10Heat, uncovered, in microwave oven 3 minutes, stirring frequently until thickened.
