Ingredients:
1 lbsFish, cod
1 ea Egg
3 medPotatoes
1/4 cupMilk, hot
1/2 tspPickling spices
Bread crumbs, or matzo meal
Procedures:
1Boil fish, potatoes, and spices until potatoes are soft.
2Remove spices, mash potatoes, add hot milk and beat until light and fluffy.
3Add flaked fish and well beaten egg.
4Chill thoroughly, form into cakes, dip in bread crumbs (or matzo meal) and chill again.
5Fry in shortening (or passover approved oil).
