Ingredients:
4 cupTwo day old bread crumbs
1 Large onion, finely minced
2/3 cupMilk (approx.)
1 Egg
1 tbspPrepared mustard
1 tspSalt
1/4 tspPepper
1/2 tspPoultry seasoning
3 tbspMelted butter OR
4 strips of bacon
2 lbsFresh or frozen hake, cod OR
Any firm, white fish
Procedures:
1Mix milk, egg, mustard and seasonings and pour over bread cubes.
2Toss until bread absorbs milk.
3Mound in a 3 quart bake dish, lightly buttered.
4Arrange fish over dressing.
5Top with melted butter or strips of bacon.
6Paprika, chives or parsley may be sprinkled on for eye appeal.
7Bake at 375f until fish flakes easily.
8Baking time will depend on thickness of fish and whether frozen or fresh.
