Ingredients:
2 lbsFish fillets, cut into
-pieces
1 lbsShelled shrimp
2 Softshell turtles, cleaned
-and parboiled until tender.
-Cut into
Small pieces
6 Blue crabs, boil and remove
-meat, or one 7-?oz. can
-crabmeat
12 Clams or one 7-?oz. can
-chopped clams
1 medOnion, sliced and ?cup
-diced green onions
1/2 cupChopped celery
1/2 cupGreen pepper
1/2 cupSliced mushrooms
1/4 cupChopped parsley
2 One lb. cans tomatoes
2 Cloves minced garlic
1/2 tspThyme
1/2 tspSaffron
2 Bay leaves
1/2 cupOil
1 cupWhite wine
Hot sauce to taste
2 cupFish stock
Procedures:
1This is a florida chowder...
2It goes real good with "french" bread.
3Saute vegetables in oil until soft, about 10 minutes.
4Add wine, stock, tomatoes and bring to a boil.
5Add fish and remaining ingredients.
6Cook over medium heat for 15 minutes.
7Turn on low and simmer for 20 minutes
