Ingredients:
1 eachRecipe Of Basic Meatballs, *
4 eachCarrots, Md, **
2 eachCelery Stalks, ***
3 eachPotatoes, Md, ****
16 ozStewed Tomatoes, 1 Cn
1 tbspSalt
1 tbspInstant Beef Bouillon
1/8 tbspPepper
1 eachBay Leaf
3/4 cupWater
Procedures:
1* see recipe 1** carrots should be scraped and cut into 1-inch pieces.
2*** celery should be cut into 1-inch pieces with strings removed.
3**** potatoes should be pared and cut into 1-inch dice.
4Prepare basic meatballs except -- cook in a dutch oven.
5Drain off excess fat.
6Add the remaining ingredients and heat to boiling.
7Reduce the heat, cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are tender, about 40 minutes.
8Remove the bay leaf and serve.
9Note: you can substitute 1 24-oz package of frozen stew vegetables for stew for the carrots, celery and potatoes
