Meat ball stroganoff

Ingredients:
MEAT BALLS
1 1/2 lbsGround beef
3/4 cupQuaker Oats, uncooked
-- (quick or old-fashioned)
1 tspSalt
1/4 tspPepper
1/2 cupMilk
SAUCE
10 1/2 ozCream of mushroom soup
-- (condensed)
1 cupWater
1 canMushroom stems & pieces
--(4 oz. size) with liquid
2 tbspTomato paste
1 tbspAll-purpose flour
1/3 cupDairy sour cream
Procedures:
1For meat balls, combine all ingredients thoroughly.
2Shape to form 24 meat balls.
3Brown in small amount of shortening in large skillet.
4For sauce, combine soup, water, mushrooms with liquid and tomato paste.
5Pour over browned meat balls.
6Cover and simmer about 30 minutes.
7Combine flour with 2 tablespoons cold water; add to sauce; blend well.
8Simmer bout 5 minutes or until thickened.
9Just before serving, stir in sour cream.
10Serve over hot buttered rice.
