| cup | Bananas, Ripe, Mashed, 2 Lg | | 1/2
| cup | Green Bell Pepper, Chopped | | 1
| tsp | Mustard, Prepared | | 1/8
| tsp | Allspice | | 2
| tbsp | Onion, Chopped | | 1
| | Egg, Lg | | 1/2
| cup | Oats, Quick Cooking | | 1
| tsp | Salt | | 1/4
| tsp | Nutmeg | | 2
| | Slices Bacon | | 3
| tbsp | Orange Marmalade |

Procedures:
| 1 | Heat the oven to 350 °F. | | 2 | Mix all of the ingredients, except the bacon and marmalade, together. | | 3 | Spread the mixture in an ungreased loaf pan, 9 x 5 x 3-inches. | | 4 | Crisscross the bacon slices on the top of the meat mixture and spread the marmalade over the whole thing. | | 5 | Bake, uncovered for 1 to 1 ?hours. | | 6 | Drain off the excess fat and let stand for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing. | | 7 | Note: the bananas add a unique, almost mysterious flavor and a special moistness to this elegant meat loaf |
