Peach cobbler/grandpa's

Ingredients:
4 cupPeaches, fresh or frozen
1 cupSugar
3 3/4 cupFlour
2 tbspMelted butter
1/4 tspSalt
1/4 cupShortening
2 tbspWater
Procedures:
1Preheat oven to 400 deg f.
2Put peaches in bottom of an 8 x 8 pan.
3Bake in oven until peaches start to simmer.
4Mix together the sugar and the 3 t of flour and sprinkle over the peaches.
5Add melted butter.
6Put remaining flour into a bowl; add salt and shortening and work with fingertips until mixture resembles coarse oatmeal.
7Mix in water to form a stiff sough.
8Roll out dough on lightly floured board into a square large enough to fit over the peaches.
9Prick pastry with fork and bake for 35-40 minutes.
