Ingredients:

| | Apples, cored and finely cho 1 ?ts Ground cinnamon | | 1/2
| cup | Apple cider | | 2
| cup | Brown sugar, firmly packed | | 1
| tsp | Ground nutmeg | | 1/2
| tsp | Ground cloves |

Procedures:
| 1 | Place apples and apple cider in 1 ?quart micro-proof bowl. | | 2 | Cover tightly with plastic wrap. | | 3 | Microwave on high 15 minutes. | | 4 | Carefully remove plastic wrap and stir in remaining ingredients. | | 5 | Return to microwave and cook, uncovered, 10 minutes more, stirring every 2 to 3 minutes. | | 6 | Transfer mixture to a blender of food processor and process until smooth. | | 7 | Store in airtight container in refrigerator. | | 8 | Yield: about 2 pints of apple butter |
