Sliced oranges with cranberry coulis

Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbsFresh cranberries
1 1/4 cupSugar
1 cupFresh orange juice
Grated zest of one orange
1/2 cupWater
1/3 cupOrange liqueur
6 Oranges, peels and white
Membranes removed, cut into
?inch slices
Procedures:
1Simmer the cranberries, sugar, and orange juice uncovered in a medium size saucepan for 15 minutes.
2Add the orange zest and water.
3Simmer uncovered another 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4Strain the cranberry mixture through a fine mesh sieve.
5Stir in the liqueur.
6Let cool to room temperature.
7On each of 6 dessert plates, make a pool of the cranberry coulis.
8Fan a sliced orange on each cranberry pool; spoon a little more cranberry coulis over the oranges.
