Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbsLean ground beef
1 cupChopped onion
2 Cloves garlic, chopped fine
28 ozCan tomatoes, undrained
6 cup-water
6 Beef bouillon cubes
1/4 tspPepper
1/2 cupUncooked orzo
1 1/2 cupMixed vegetables
-frozen peas, carrots and
- corn blend
French bread (opt)
Procedures:
1Cook beef, onion and garlic in a large saucepan over medium high heat until the beef is brow, stirring to separate meat; drain fat.
2puree the tomatoes with juice in a covered blender or food processor.
3Add tomatoes, water bouillon cubes and pepper to the meat mixture.
4Bring to a boil; reduce heat to low.
5Simmer, uncovered for 20 minutes.
6Add orzo and vegetables.
7Simmer for 15 minutes more.
8serve with french bread.
