Sausage bean chowder

Ingredients:
1/2 lbsPork sausage
1 canKidney beans (16 oz.)
1 1/2 cupCanned tomatoes
2 cupWater
1 medOnion, chopped
1 Bay leaf
3/4 tspSalt
1/4 tspGarlic salt
1/4 tspThyme
1/8 tspPepper
1/2 cupPotatoes, diced
1/4 cupGreen pepper, chopped
Procedures:
1Cook sausage in skillet and brown.
2Pour off fat.
3In a large kettle, combine beans, tomatoes, water, onion, bay leaf, salt, garlic salt, thyme and pepper.
4Add sausage.
5Simmer, covered for 1 hour.
6Add potatoes and green peppers.
7Cook covered for 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
8Remove bay leaf and serve.
