Ingredients:

| tbsp | Beef suet | | 2 1/2
| lbs | Beef, cubed | | | MSG (or gunk) | | 1 1/2
| cup | Onions, chopped | | 1
| lbs | Mushrooms, sliced | | 3/4
| cup | Sherry, dry | | 3
| tbsp | Cornstarch, rounded, in | | 1
| cup | Water, cold | | 2
| cup | Sour cream (or use equal | | | -parts s/c and yogurt) |

Procedures:
| 1 | Over high heat, brown suet (drippings) in pot. | | 2 | Grease bottom and sides, take out fat chunks. | | 3 | Brown cubed beef lightly. | | 4 | Salt and pepper, add gunk. | | 5 | Stir in onions, mushrooms and sherry. | | 6 | Turn down low and simmer about 10 minutes. | | 7 | Soften cornstarch in cold water; add to beef, stirring continuously. | | 8 | Add water if needed so meat chunks are covered when pushed down. | | 9 | Turn burner off to start cooling mixture. | | 10 | Add sour cream to top; spread lightly and let soften. | | 11 | Stir in; serve on top of hot noodles. | | 12 | Notes: * brian prefers it on top of rice. | | 13 | * can substitute 2 small cans of mushrooms for fresh |
