San francisco chops

Ingredients:
4 Pork chops
1 tspOil
SAUCE
1 Garlic clove, minced
2 tspOil
4 tbspDry sherry or broth
4 tbspSoy Sauce
1/4 tspCrushed Red Pepper
FINAL TOUCH
2 tspCornstarch
2 tbspWater
Procedures:
1Preparation time: 10 min. cooking time: 40 to 45 min.
2Mix sauce ingredients together and set aside.
3Trim pork chops of fat and saute in hot oil until brown on both sides.
4Pour sauce over chops.
5Cover tightly and simmer over low heat until chops are tender and cooked through, 30 to 35 minutes.
6Add a little water, (1 to 2 tb) if needed to keep sauce from cooking down too much.
7Turn once.
8Remove chops to platter.
9Stir in cornstarch dissolved in water.
10Cook until thickened.
11Pour over chops and serve.
12tips: boneless pork loin chops can be used.
13Trim fat and pound to ?inch thickness.
14Cooking takes only 20 minutes.
