Ginger chicken with peaches

Ingredients:
2 Whole medium chicken
-breasts(about 1 ?/td>
-lbs.)skinned, boned
And halve lengthwise
2 tbspMargarine or butter
1 16 oz can peach slices
1 tbspCornstarch
1 tspGrated gingerroot
1 8 oz can sliced water
-chestnuts, drained
Procedures:
1Rinse chicken; pat dry.
2In a 10" skillet, cook in hot margarine over medium heat, about 10 minutes or until tender enough to be easily pierced with a fork, turning once.
3Remove from skillet; cover to keep warm.
4Drain peaches, reserving syrup.
5Add water to reserved syrup to make ?cup total; stir in cornstarch and gingerroot.
6Add to skillet.
7Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
8Add peaches and water chestnuts; heat through.
9Season to taste with salt and pepper.
10Spoon over chicken.
