Kathy's potato soup

Ingredients:
5 lbsPotatoes-cubed
2 largeOnions-minced
1 largeCarrot-sliced thin
1 lbsBacon
1/4 cupFlour
1 quartCream or half-and-half
Salt
Pepper
Procedures:
1Boil potatoes, onion and carrot in water until tender (about 20 minutes) while vegetables are boiling fry bacon (reserving grease).
2Remove bacon from pan, add flour and stir to form a paste.
3Add cream and stir until blended and cream starts to thicken.
4Add to vegetables and stir until well blended and thick.
