| 1 | 1 lb potatoes 2 ts chopped parsley ?lb piece of bacon cheese ?lb carrots salt and pepper |
| 2 | gently boil the bacon for 40 minutes. |
| 3 | Skim off the fat. |
| 4 | Peel and cut up the potatoes and carrots. |
| 5 | Clean and chop the leeks. |
| 6 | Add the vegetables to the bacon and simmer until they are tender-about 20 minutes. |
| 7 | Add the milk and reheat but do not boil. |
| 8 | Add the parsley. |
| 9 | Serve with grated cheese. |
